Gordon began his career with the Internal Revenue Service as an Agent in the income and excise tax departments. In 1975, after three years of public service, he joined his father, Louis Dito PA, who had founded Dito Accountancy Corporation decades earlier.
In 1994, Dito Accountancy Corporation merged with a highly-regarded regional San Francisco Bay Area CPA firm. Gordon became a partner where his focus was helping entrepreneurs and private companies meet their business goals.
Gordon established Dito & Associates in 2005 to provide business services and tax solutions for individuals and closely-held businesses. The firm works side-by-side with clients to meet compliance deadlines, increase operating efficiencies and develop financial strategies for the long term. This includes helping clients devise succession planning strategies, trusts, estate plans and the associated tax strategies.
Gordon is a member of the National and the California Societies of Enrolled Agents and is a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute. He is a graduate of San Francisco's Saint Ignatius College Preparatory and the University of San Francisco with a BS, Accounting Specialist.
Gordon has served the community as Planning Commissioner for the City of Millbrae from 1986 to 1993, including the role of Chairman from 1989 to 1990, and is a member and past director of the Millbrae Lions Club.
